インターナショナル・ジャズ・デイはユネスコ（国際連合教育科学文化機関）がユネスコ親善大使でもあるジャズ・ピアニスト、ハービー・ハンコックとセロニアス・モンク・インスティチュート・オブ・ジャズの協力によって制定した記念日。

ジャズを通じて国境を越えてさまざまな文化に対する理解を深めることを目的とし、2012年から毎年4月30日に世界各地イベントを開催。
