ヤマト運輸とディー・エヌ・エーが、自動運転で荷物を届ける「ロボネコヤマト」の実証実験を、神奈川県藤沢市の一部エリアで開始すると
対象エリアは、藤沢市の鵠沼海岸1～7丁目、辻堂東海岸1～4丁目、本鵠沼1～5丁目で、約3万人（1万2000世帯）がサービスを利用。

車内に保管ボックスを設置した専用の電気自動車を3台使用し、ヤマト運輸の施設を利用
将来的には完全自動運転を目指すが、今回の実験ではドライバーによる有人運転で荷物を届ける。
でも、顧客が自身で荷物を車両から取り出すことを想定していることから、ドライバーは荷物の受け渡しなどには関与しない。
