スタジオジブリ色彩設計担当の保田さんが2016年10月5日病気で亡くなりました。
あのリアルな巨人兵（今でも記憶に残る）など「風の谷のナウシカ」でジブリ作品に参加して以来、「千と千尋の神隠し」や「風立ちぬ」などジブリのほとんどの映画で色彩設計を担当した。
夢と狂気を作り上げた日本の逸材をまた一人失いました。
