豊作を願う虫送り、たいまつを手に掛け声をあげ、光と音で害虫を追い払う伝統行事

三重県熊野市紀和町の丸山千枚田で６月１０日
「虫送り殿のお通りだい」と子供の声が響く中、明かりが夕暮れの棚田を照らしたよ。
一度途絶えていたが、熊野古道の世界遺産登録を記念し、２００４年に復活したらしい。
