今度のaiboは賢くなるようだけど
SIMを内蔵した理由については「ネットワークに常時接続してほしい。本体に内蔵して出荷しているので、すぐに接続できるようになる。
Wi-Fiの環境があれば、Wi-Fiで使ってほしいらしい。
カメラやSLAMのデータなど大きなデータもあるので、基本的には室内でWi-Fiを想定している」ですと。
製品ライフ、メンテナンスについては、製造終了後7年間のサポート提供を予定。
「できる限り継続できるように準備はしているが、長期的には部材が10年後も調達できるとは限らない。マイナー変更もありえる」
AIをクラウド上に持っているため、「ユーザーが使っている環境をバックアップできる。買い替えた場合は、新しいaiboにそれまでのデータをダウンロードして引き継ぐこともできる」
